Every paid subscription covers one student, for their current grade, across all four subjects for that grade. The public website explains the pricing clearly; the full proprietary learning experience stays inside the authenticated app.

How NivShiksha subscriptions work
NivShiksha pricing is designed around the way families actually buy educational support: some want a low-cost way to try the product, some want month-to-month flexibility, and some want one payment that covers the rest of the academic year.
To keep that simple, we offer one Intro Tier, two Basic billing options, and one Premium plan. The learning scope is always grade-specific: a subscription covers all four subjects for the child’s current grade, not all grades from Class 1 to Class 8 at once.
- Intro Tier is a low-cost entry point, not a recurring free trial.
- Basic Monthly and Basic Annual unlock the same core learning features.
- Premium adds mock tests and competition-oriented access.
Why annual plans end on 31 March
NivShiksha aligns annual subscriptions to the academic year instead of to the exact calendar anniversary of purchase. This keeps a child’s grade-level access and renewal decision in sync with the real school cycle.
For parents, that means fewer surprises at promotion time. For the product, it prevents one subscription from spanning two different grade contexts without an explicit renewal choice.
- An annual purchase in the middle of the year still runs only until the academic-year end.
- The next academic year starts with a fresh purchase decision for the child’s next grade.
- Store auto-renewals are not allowed to run past the academic-year boundary unchecked.
How plan switches work
Parents should not be penalized for starting with a lower-commitment plan. NivShiksha therefore supports two plan switches inside the app when the user is eligible.
These switch prices are enforced server-side so the amount stays consistent across web checkout, Google Play, and the App Store.
- Basic Annual → Premium Annual upgrade: ₹799 flat fee.
- Basic Monthly → Basic Annual switch: annual price minus one month of Basic Monthly, currently ₹1,000.
- The monthly-to-annual credit is capped at one month and does not accumulate over multiple months.

Is NivShiksha pricing public?
Yes. The pricing structure is intentionally public so parents and schools can evaluate the product clearly. What is not public is the full proprietary question bank and authenticated learning content inside the app.
Does one subscription cover all grades?
No. One subscription covers one student, for their current grade, across all four subjects for that grade during the academic year.
Can I start with Basic Monthly and switch later?
Yes. If you are on an active Basic Monthly subscription, you can switch to Basic Annual by paying the annual price minus one month of Basic Monthly. The credit is capped at one month.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Premium later?
Yes. An active Basic Annual subscription can upgrade to Premium Annual for a flat ₹799 fee.
