Our story

It started with one child.
Ours.

NivShiksha wasn't born in a boardroom. It began at a kitchen table, with a father, a struggling son, and far too little time. Everything you see today grew out of that one very personal problem.

A few years ago, our founder — a father, and a software engineer with more than fifteen years behind him — watched his own son take on olympiad after olympiad. The ambition was there. The exams were hard. And like most working parents, he simply didn't have the hours in the day to sit beside his child through every topic and every practice paper.

It is a hard thing to watch — a child struggling with his preparation, and knowing you don't have the time to help the way you want to. So he did the one thing he knew how to do well: he built something. Not a company. Just a small, private tool to help his son practise the right things, at the right time, on the topics he was actually getting wrong.

Then something happened that we could not ignore.

His son's marks climbed — from the fifties into the nineties. He went on to place first at the international level of one of the exams he was preparing for. These are real results, from one real child, and we have the scorecards that show them.

That was the moment the idea outgrew our family. If focused, personalised practice could help one child this much, how many other parents were sitting with the exact same worry — a bright child, a demanding syllabus, and not enough time?

A note we insist on: the story above is our own family's genuine experience, not a promise of results. Every child is different, and no app can guarantee a score. We share it only to explain, honestly, why NivShiksha exists.

And then, the classroom

Why we built for teachers as well

When his son qualified for the nationals, our founder turned to the school for help with the final preparation. The teachers cared — but they simply didn't have the time or the resources to give one qualifying child that focused attention. That wasn't a failing of theirs; it's the reality of a busy classroom.

So we built for them too. NivShiksha gives teachers a clear view of who has practised, who is falling behind, and exactly which topics a class is struggling with — so the limited time they do have goes exactly where it matters most.

What we stand for

The promises we make to your family

Because it began with our own child, we hold this product to the standard we'd want for him.

Built for the child in front of us

We started with one real child and his real struggles — not a market study. Every feature has to earn its place by genuinely helping a student learn, not by looking good in a demo.

Privacy is not negotiable

No ads. No selling data. No behavioural tracking or profiling of children. Our adaptive engine follows clear, auditable rules — not opaque AI on your child’s data — by design, in line with India’s DPDP Act 2023.

Effort should feel rewarding

Children don’t need more pressure. They need to feel the small wins. Points, badges, streaks and a friendly buddy exist for one reason: to make practice something a child chooses to come back to.

Parents and teachers deserve to see

A score of ‘62%’ tells you nothing. We build the dashboards we wished we’d had — the ones that say exactly which topic needs help, so a parent or teacher can actually do something about it.

Who is behind NivShiksha?

A parent who lived this problem, and an engineer who could actually build the answer.

NivShiksha is built by a small, India-based team led by a founder who is, first, a father — and second, a software engineer with more than fifteen years of experience building serious technology inside a global company. That combination matters. He has felt the worry every parent in our audience feels, and he has the craft to turn that worry into something genuinely useful.

We're not a faceless edtech giant chasing screen time. We're the people who built this for our own child first, and decided the right thing to do was share it — carefully, privately, and honestly — with every other family carrying the same hope.

No ads. No behavioural tracking of children. Built to comply with India's DPDP Act 2023 — because it's our children using it too.
